Dr. Corey Batson, M.D.
Corey Batson M.D. began his medical education at Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree at Meharry Medical College, Nashville Tennessee and completed his Family Medicine residency training at the affiliated Nashville General Hospital.
For over a decade, Dr. Batson has made Nashville his home. He is an active faculty member at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine working as a clinician and instructor to future practitioners. Dr. Batson is also a diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is current with his professional licensures. He is a member and active participant of multiple professional organizations such as the American Society of Addiction Medicine, 100 Black Men of America, Inc. and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Dr. Batson has a true passion for medicine and is committed to prioritizing the wellness of his community. He emphasizes forming a genuine relationship with his patients as he guides them through their medical journeys. Away from medicine, Dr. Batson enjoys reading, traveling and most importantly, spending time with his three wonderful children.

This office is the best! Dr Batson is very kind and genuinely listens to you! Amina is the sweetest and the girls in the front are always welcoming and helpful! I’ve recommended this office to my whole family!
Dr. Batson and his team are great!!! The ladies up front are top tier and his NP is fabulous. I have never felt this comfortable and welcome in an office. Really happy to have found such a stellar team to take care of me.
This is my third time ever writing a review. The office aesthetics were nice and there was a short wait time. Dr. Batson was very attentive and informative. I don't recall a time where my medical provider explained alternatives other than prescribing medication as the solution (not implying that he doesn't believe in medication). Also, I was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Batson stepped in to answer an incoming call while the receptionist was away from the desk. It showed me that he didn't allow the initials behind his name to dictate his action at that time.
I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Batson and his clinic. He is very thorough, informative and welcoming! The front office is always on top of appointments and follow ups. I’m so happy I have found a PCP that I enjoy.
Dr. Batson was so knowledgeable and very informative. You can tell he really cares about his patients rather than treating you just like a number and will not rest until he finds a good solution for your needs. You can tell he has passion for his profession and is in it for the right reasons. Doctors like these are so rare and hard to come by. Overall very friendly and good ambiance at his practice. I would 10/10 recommend.
The employees were nice and friendly. Dr. Batson was very concerned about the info that I showed him and he explained in great detail the importance of some of my issues and what was needed to be taken care as soon as possible. He was very kind and a great listener. I enjoyed talking with everyone and hope to enjoy my next visit as well.
